Hi there!

My name is Riley Thomas and I am the founder and owner of Riley Thomas Media. I am from Hermosa Beach, CA and have spent the last 6 winters living in Big Bear Lake, CA. This past winter I made the move to Aspen, CO. I have been very lucky to be able to live in 2 very different environments that provide contrasting inspirations for my work. From remote snowy landscapes with harsh climates to sunny beaches bordering the concrete jungle that is Los Angeles, my work varies and follows the seasons.

I first picked up a camera when I was young and always wanted a DSLR to capture memories. I am lucky to travel often and wanted to be able to share the amazing views that I have experienced. It was not until my dad gave me his old Nikon D70 while I was attending University of Arizona, that the spark of inspiration struck me. I finally purchased a mirrorless Sony A7iii in the Fall of 2020 and I haven't looked back. I have been inspired by many talented photographers and have worked to develop my own style.
